Transitions series

I experiment with spatial illusions to create an environment where still life and landscape meet. In this environment I depict human emotions and experiences, often using fruit or still life objects as substitutes for people. The sky represents a lack of boundaries or limitations – ultimate freedom in a sense.

I convey ideas through my work. As the creator of the painting I’m at liberty to expand or alter dimensions and paint the subjects into larger environments. As I paint I open up new possibilities.
